Macro-Waste Capture and Management at the La Pugette Site – Marseille
Belle Environnement worked on the La Pugette site in Marseille as part of a project aimed at improving the screening, extraction and management of macro-waste.
The works included the supply and installation of two HUBER TRASHMAX screening units, capable of handling a maximum flow rate of 5 m³/s (18,000 m³/h), as well as the installation of a FASSI roller-mounted crane to facilitate waste handling and removal operations.
Belle Environnement also carried out all the adaptations required to integrate the new equipment, including caged ladders, metalwork, platform modifications, a 30 m³ draining skip and a control cabin.
Our scope of work also included all electrical and automation systems, with the installation of power supplies, integration of the new screening units into the SOFREL remote management system, and an update of the supervision system.
Protecting infrastructure and optimising its operation: this project combines hydraulic engineering, electromechanical systems and automation to deliver more efficient management of waste carried by water.
